Community Property

“How does one keep from growing old inside? Surely only in community. The only way to make friends with time is to stay friends with people. Taking community seriously not only gives us the companionship we need, it also relieves us of the notion that we are indispensable.”

Community Property Rules

WCA members are responsible and liable for any and all actions and/or damage perpetrated by their family, guests and/or tenants.

The laws of the State of Michigan govern driving of vehicles in the community. This includes all cars, trucks, SUVs, golf carts, ATVs, recreational vehicles and snowmobiles. The Westacres Community Association does not authorize unlicensed drivers to operate any vehicle that requires a State-issued driver’s license.

No motorized vehicles of any kind are allowed on Boy Scout Point property.

West Bloomfield’s “Leash Laws” apply. Please use a leash at all times and clean up after your dog! No dogs on Westacres Beach all year long.

Please observe our 25 MPH speed limit and stop at all STOP signs.

No glass of any kind on the Beach.

No bicycles or motorized vehicles on the Beach unless done so in conjunction with an event setup authorized by the Beach Chairperson.

Beach drop off of elderly residents or guests and/or disabled residents or guests is allowed at the base of the ramp. Vehicles may not go past the bike rack. All vehicles, except Approved Golf Carts with Handicap Stickers, must be taken back up the ramp and parked in the parking lot area.

West Bloomfield Township rules and regulations are in effect at all times. This applies to golf cart usage, traffic rules, trespassing, raising farm animals, and any non-Westacres-property-specific activities.
