Spirit Week

Hang up those flags & T-shirts! Spirit week is back for 2024. The Flag, T-Shirt or Home Display of our theme (Oh, the Places You’ll Go!) must be displayed so it is easily seen from the street in the front of your house, It could be on the roof or attached to the front of your home, or prominently displayed in a front window!

Let’s all enjoy the WESTACRES SPIRIT of this amazing community we choose to live in.

As always Go Green, Go Red Go WESTACRES!

The Rules

It must be on display from July 31 through August 4 for judging. 

You never know what night a Red team member, Green team member and your chairman will be driving around assigning points for AQUACADE spirit during those dates.

If you CHOOSE to participate (IT IS YOUR CHOICE and no one else), the flag or T-shirt, or display will gain 1 point per house.

If you would like to purchase a green or red flag, please contact the WWC Merchandise team asap as supplies are limited.
If you choose to make your own, it must be Red or Green and comparable in size of the Westacres flag, which is 2’ X 3’ or BIGGER.
If you choose to convert your home into the biggest legend you know, even better.

This year we will be awarding the 2023 Aquacade Spirit Week Grand Champions an additional 5 points. 2nd place will receive 4 points, and 3rd place will receive 3 points. All participants will gain their side 1 point.

This year we will be doing a % based point system.  So, every house that participates will count but points be awarded based on the % of the total homes on the North and South side.

Friday Evening

  • Corn Husking – Current residents in good standing and former residents may participate for points.
  • Kickball – Current residents in good standing, former residents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of current residents, and former residents may participate.  
  • Corn Roast — 5:30 p.m
  • Corn Husking — 5:35 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
  • Kickball — 7:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.

  • Parade — 9:45 a.m. (Check in 9:15 a.m., please pre-register)
  • Field Day — Noon
  • Toddler Games - 4 and under
  • Girls-Boys DASH
  • Girls-Boys SACK RACE
  • Shoe Tie Relay - 8-14 Mixed
  • Baton Relay (South vs North) — 8+ MIXED
  • Girls-Boys BALL TOSS
  • Tug-O-War (South vs North)
  • Water Balloon Toss Mixed

Saturday Evening Adult Dance

  • The event is $10 for Current Residents in advance; $15 at the door. It is $15 for guests in advance; $20 at the door.
  • Former residents and friends may attend.
