The Westacres Weekly

Since 1939, the Westacres Weekly has served as the voice of the Westacres community, delivered weekly to mailboxes and through email.

It is a stand-alone, independent newspaper run by volunteers and supported solely by subscriptions and advertising revenue.

For those who’ve read your ‘Story of Us’, you know the Weekly was started in August of 1937 by a group of teenagers working for ‘date money’ and has continued since, making it likely the longest-lasting weekly neighborhood newspaper in the country.

In addition to community news, it celebrates Westacres' residents, be it birthdays, anniversaries, sports wins, school plays, vacation adventures or simple acts of kindness. The Weekly is what YOU make it each week. We welcome your submissions!
