Keith Elementary School PTA’s annual flower sale will take place Wednesday May 19 through Friday May 21. Order forms have been sent home with students, and flowers will be available for sale at the front of the school. This year the school will also benefit from mulch or topsoil sales from Suburban Landscape Supply, so remember to check out their website.

Garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata) is growing with wild abandon in Westacres gardens. The problem with this weed is that it starts growing very early in the spring, giving it a head start over native wildflowers and plants such as liverworts, toothworts, solomon-seal, trilliums, trout lilly, sweet-cisley and many others. 

Get rid of it by cutting, pulling, burning or applying herbicides.
