The first meeting of the new WWC board will be on Thursday 3rd September at 7pm at Anita Lieberman’s home. We would still like a couple more Westacres Women to step up so that we can have a full board: come on Thursday and see if the WWC is for you!

Boatwell Lock & Tennis Courts
August 28th, 2009A new lock has been installed on the boatwell gate, so make sure that you remember to take your key with you (same key, new lock).
The tennis courts could do with a little TLC in the shape of some crack-filling and painting of the green wall. All we need is a bit of your time and enthusiasm- we’ll provide all neccessary materials. Think that this might be the volunteer project for you? Call Mike Connelly (248) 363 0959.

The red side won!!
August 10th, 2009The final result was 664.5 points to the south side and 512.5 points for the north (the half points were from the parade). While the green team held an early lead with their superior corn husking, parading and party going skills, they were no match for the red team’s excellent performance on the field, in the water, and on the sand (wow -that was some sandcastle!).
Thanks to everyone who paraded in the rain and ran and swam in the heat. Special thanks to Mark Kelly for organizing it all, and to everyone who helped make it possible. Thanks to Mark Kelly’s lovely wife (that’s me!!!) for her part helping with the party on Saturday evening, and for Joni and her crew of table-putter-uppers-and-decorators.
We have such great people in this neighborhood! – so many of you helped to make Aquacade possible. Photos coming soon!!
